Objectives
The course introduces the process of master's thesis writing with the aims that the student understands how the process works, what is the scope of a thesis and what kinds of topics can be possible for a master's thesis.

1. | Learning the process of preparing a master's thesis. Understanding the scope of the thesis. | Good practises of the writing process and the arrangements relating to the master's thesis. | Familiarisation of a number of other master's theses in the same major subject area as the student. Requirements for completing the course
Attending the seminar six times or passing an oral exam of a handbook of technical writing. The course is recommended to those who plan to graduate from the Institute of Signal Processing.

Additional information related to course
The seminar is attended also by the international students of the Institute of Digital and Computer Systems and the Institute of Telecommunications.
The student should begin to attend the seminars early enough in his/her studies so that there is sufficient time to listen to the seminars given in English before the student wants to graduate.
