1. | Overview of ambient systems implementation and service design (covering smart materials, MEMS and sensor technology, embedded system technology, ubiquitous computation, I/O device technology, adaptive software, media management and handling, natural interaction, computational intelligence, context awareness, and emotional computation) | A few sub-components of ambient multimedia are selected and presented in more depth depending on actual research work (e.g. computational intelligence) | Ambient multimedia is a new field. During the course up-to-date research results are presented. |
Requirements for completing the course
Seminar presentation, 70 % attendance and writing of an essay.
