Objectives
To give the basic information to select power semiconductors (diode, MOSFET, IGBT, SCR, GTO) as well as active and passive componnets typically used to implement switched-mode power supplies, and to design magnetic components.

1. | During the course the basic power semiconductors (diode, MOSFET, IGBT, SCR, GTO, passive components (capacitor, resistor, VDR, NTC), and active components (TL431, optocoupoler, PWM IC) will be treated. The basis for snubber, thermal, and magnetics design will be shortly introduced. |   |
