Requirements

To get 3 cr: * Attendance of at least 9 seminar meetings * Two essays about two topics that are not from student's own team. To get 5 cr: * Attendance of at least 9 seminar meetings * Two essays about two topics that are not from student's own team. * Project work and report on a topic that is not the topic of one's own PhD work. The project should be done with student(s) from another team.

Objectives

The objective of the seminar is to give an introduction to the research topics that are currently investigated by the teams of the Center of Excellence in Signal Processing hosted by the Department of Signal Processing. The seminar is suitable to all who are pursuing PhD in signal processing and particularly valuable to those working in any of the teams of the Center of Excellence.

The first essay topic should be chosen from the topic list of period 2 and the second from the topic list of period 3. * Deadline for the first essay 31.12.2008 * Deadline for the second essay 28.2.2009
