Objectives

Preparation for major studies in RF-electronics. The students refresh prior knowledge and fill possible gaps.

Content

1. Vectors, vector spaces, linearity, and applications. Vector valued and linear maps. Linear systems of equations, resistive circuits. Visualization and calculations with Matlab.      
2. Multivariable analysis and its applications in circuit theory. Optimality, solution of nonlinear systems and essentials of Fourier techniques.      
3. Ordinary differential equations and their application in time-dependent system analysis. Analytical solution techniques, transformation to first order system.     
4. Time-harmonic system analysis. Transient and steady state. Impedance, transfer function. Complex Fourier techniques.      
5. First order passive electronic filters.
