Understanding the methodological principles and the function of measurement devices used in bioanalytical research.

Content

1. Photo detectors and optical components and measurement electronics.     
2. Absorption spectra and spectrophotometry.     
3. Luminesence, fluoresence, phosphoresence, excitation and emission spectra and measurement methods.     
4. Microscopy, transmission and fluorescence microscopy. Sample labelling and other methods for contrast enhancement.     
5. Confocal and multiphoton microscopy, flow cytometry, electrophoresis, microarray methods and sequencing. Optical in vivo imaging.
