Objectives

After completing the course you know the most important methods in medical image processing. You can also apply some of the methods in practice.

Content

1. The type of image information in transmission X-ray imaging, gamma, ultrasound, CT and MR imaging.      
2. The most important image processing methods in each imaging mode, such as enhancement methods and processing of dynamic image sets.      
3. Combination of images and signals, parametric images, quantification of images, 3D displays.      
4. Image transmission, archiving and compression.
