Objectives

The objective of this course is to ensure that the student has learned the basic theoretical concepts of RF electronics right, and, is able to apply them in practice, in designing and testing electronics circuits operated at radio frequencies. Another objective is that the student learns to write a scientific paper.

Content

Content Core content Complementary knowledge Specialist knowledge
1. Use of an RF simulations tool.
2. Design of a practical circuit e.g. an RF amplifier, oscillator, or mixer.
3. Layout design for an RF circuit plus practical etching of a printed circuit board.
4. Making gain, impedance, and spectrum measurements using RF test instruments.
5. Preparing a report that meets scientific standards and quality.
