Objectives

To increase students' knowledge and awareness of culture and its influence on communication, as well as their awareness of themselves as cultural beings. Major theories related to intercultural communication will be explored, and various exercises will be used to demonstrate the practical applications of these theories, thereby enchancing the students' understanding of them. The topics covered will include: basic terminology, aspects of intercultural learning, concepts of culture and communication, factors influencing communication, cultural variables, and models for developing awareness and sensitivity.
