Objectives

Basic concepts of clothing physiology and applications in design, production and marketing of clothing. Basics of human thermophysiology and influence of clothing on thermal balance. Textile hand properties, static charging, flammability, allergy problems, freedom of movements. Clothing physiological research methods and standardisation.

Content

1. Thermal physiology: clothing thermal insulation, water vapour permeability and air permeability. Research methods. Special materials, designs.     
2. Textile hand properties. Objective and subjective research methods.     
3. Static charging, flammability, allergy problems.
