Attending two lectures is a compulsory requirement to pass the course. In addition, it is recommended to follow at least a few seminar presentations. The course is compulsory to those who are majoring in Signal Processing, Multimedia or Computational Systems Biology in the International Master's Degree Programme in Information Technology..
Completion parts must belong to the same implementation

Objectives

The course introduces the process of master's thesis writing with the aims that the student understands how the process works, what the scope of a thesis is and what kinds of topics are possible for a master's thesis.

Content

1. Learning the process of preparing a master's thesis. Understanding the scope of the thesis.  Good practices of the writing process and the arrangements relating to the master's thesis.  Familiarization of a number of other master's theses in the same major subject area as the student. The theses often discuss the state-of-the-art technology of their field. 


Evaluation criteria for the course

Attendance in the seminars is recorded and a 100% attendance in the lectures is required to pass the course.

Evaluation scale passed/failed will be used on the course

Partial passing:

Completion parts must belong to the same implementation
