Objectives

The goal of the course is to familiarize students with wireless radio propagation mechanisms and phenemenons of mobile radio channel.

Content

3. 3. MOBILE RADIO CHANNEL AND FADING MODELS -Introduction to slow and fast fading channels - Doppler spectrum and delay spread     
4. 4. ATMOSPHERIC EFFECTS & SATELLITE RADIO CHANNELS -Introduction to tropospheric and ionospheric effects      
5. 5. SPATIAL MOBILE RADIO CHANNELS -Introduction to multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems -Characteristics of a MIMO channel
