Objectives

Objectives: to better prepare students' understanding of technical vocabulary. Areas of study include: History of the computer, computer aechitecture, how the motherboard ties it altogether, The Devolution of the OS, How an Operating Sysem Controls Hardware, THE INTERNET, HOW A BUS WORKS, How internet video and audi Work, CAD and computer networks. Aims: reading and understanding technical texts, speed reading, writing, explaining technical information in English. Common European Framework of Reference, Level B2.

All units are assessed during the course. Completion of all given exercises and written proof that the student has a full understanding of the exercises in question.
