Requirements

Students need to collect at least 50 % of the maximum amount of points. Various tasks throughout the course yield these points.
Completion parts must belong to the same implementation

Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student is able to analyze and design a low noise amplifier on circuit diagram level starting from the data provided by component manufactures. The student can name the key characteristics of also other active RF circuits. The student is able to deliver a presentation and create a report on a topic of his choise. Further, the student is able to act as a speaker, opponent, and as a chairman in an academic seminar.

1. RF transistor amplifier design, gain concepts, impedance matching, stability, noise figure, linearity, design for constant gain, broadband, high power, and multistage design.  RF circuit simulation.   


Evaluation criteria for the course

Students' performance is assessed throughout the course. Students are expected to perform various tasks that presumably advance their learning. These tasks contribute to the final score.

Assessment scale:

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course

Partial passing:

Completion parts must belong to the same implementation
