Learning outcomes

Understanding of physical phenomena behind the operation of lasers. The operation will be described using simplified models that lead to a proper physical understanding.

Evaluation criteria for the course

Homework (40%) and final examination (60%). Full homework points alone will give a passing grade (1). About half of the homework points and excellent performance in the exam will give the highest grade (5).
