The course critically examines processes and systems in entertainment and media production. Gaining understanding in workflows and procedures in media industry enables the understanding of management aspects during production. Based on several different stages in traditional and emerging media domains, production workflows and techniques are presented. Workflows from traditional media and their changing environment, paired with new processes in latest media industry trends are presented. A special focus is given on content creation and related technology, such as asset management, system architectures, information architectures, and involved methods. After this course, the students should understand: 1. technologies, processes, and workflows of digital productions in specific media domains 2. system architectures, content including its production, and system infrastructures 3. asset management, creation, metadata, and methods for content creation
