Getting acquainted with solution methods for time-varying electromagnetic fields

Content

1. Transient and time harmonic problems, boundary and initial conditions, wave and eddy current problems.      
2. Special features of 2D-problems     
3. Difference-, finite element-, FDTD and FIT-methods.     
4. Short introduction to inverse problems.     


Evaluation criteria for the course

Without the seminar work, exams / exercises determine 1/1 of the grade. Else exam / exercises determine 3/5, and seminar work 2/5 of the grade.

Assessment scale:

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course
