Requirements

Approved research paper, case workshop and exam. Each student is expected to write a research paper and give a Power Point presentation during lectures. The paper will be personally commented on by the lecturer. National strategies of selected countries for upgrading their textile and fashion industries are discussed. Three scenarios for future development are analysed by teams of students and they are presented and discussed during a scenario workshop. Evaluation for the grade will be based 60% on exam, 30% on research paper and 10% on the workshop.
Completion parts must belong to the same implementation

Learning outcomes

The student will understand what role textiles play in global economy and what is the role of the private sector and public sector in the global textile economy. Various regulations and international organizations in connection with globalization are discussed.
