Final examination on the topics governed by the lectures and exercises.

To introduce the basics of dynamical analysis and methods for switched-mode converters, and apply them to buck, boost and buck-boost converters under different control modes in fixed and variable frequency operation. After the course, the student will understand the constraints related possibly to different converter topologies, and is able to analyse the effect of impedance type load, and the source impedance on the converter dynamics.

1. | Average and small-signal modeling under direct-duty-ratio, peak-current-mode, and average-current-mode control in the fixed frequency operation. Under the varaible-frequency operation only self-oscillation principle will be governed. The effect of impedance type load and source will be governed utilizing unterminated two-port modeling technique. |
