Requirements

Computer exam or theoretical exam is compulsory for a numeric grade. It is possible to have the course passed with an acceptable exercise project.
Completion parts must belong to the same implementation

Learning outcomes

Gives abilities and skills to apply mathematical methods in measurement data analysis and results based decision support. Specifically dynamic systems; data and models. Applying and developing of numerical methods using MATLAB.

Content

1. Overview to the methods of data-analysis.   Practical knowledge on data-analysis and modeling.  Statistical methods. 
2. Visualization methods for data-analysis.   Developing new visualization.   
3. Performing numerical analysis with MATLAB.  Algorithms for different methods programmed in and applied with MATLAB. Using several toolboxes and software from internet.  The issues of accuracy, memory usage and speed of computations. 
4. Practical knowledge of signal- and image processing.  Application of Fourier-methods.   
5. Principles of dynamic systems.  Modeling and simulation of dynamic systems.

Exercises, assignments and exam.

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course

Partial passing:

Completion parts must belong to the same implementation
