Learning outcomes

The objective of the course is to get acquainted with scientific research and writing of a research report. The course primarily prepares students for the Master¿s Thesis process in terms of how to take into account the necessary academic writing conventions and how to build theoretical framework i.e. define the concepts used and their possible interrelationships. The theoretical framework is an essential element in the Master¿s Thesis and, in order to build such a framework, some practice is needed. However, in addition to academic issues, the course also provides useful hints for writing managerial reports in general. Today, written reports and memos are important tools for managers when communicating their ideas and decisions within their own organizations.
