Learning outcomes

After passing the course the student can name the most common research techniques and methods in the area of chemical and physical unit operations in water engineering and explain in more detail the ones studied at TUT. The student can select the literature needed, plan the material and methods and write a research plan for a master's thesis.

Content

Content Core content Complementary knowledge Specialist knowledge
1. The latest scientific data in the field of physical and chemical unit operations in water engineering.  How to review scientific research articles in order to plan the experimental set-up.
2. Familiarization to the research projects at TUT/BIO.
3. How to write research plan for the thesis, find research material and methods needed.  The design of a real research plan.
