Introduction to basics of photonics. Especially optoelectronics and nanophotonics: edge-emitting lasers vertical micro-cavity optical sources (including Resonant-Cavity Light Emitting Diodes, Vertical Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers), optical amplifiers, detectors (including resonant-cavity photodetectors), photonic crystals, nanocrystals
