Requirements
Regular attendance; active participation in exercises; giving a high quality professional presentation.
Principles and baselines related to teaching and learning
Teaching methods will largely be task-based exercises, group, pair as well as whole class work, involving e.g. simulations and role plays. Students are expected to be as active as possible and the level of active participation will be one of the assessment criteria
Learning outcomes
The course aims to activate the students´ oral communication skills in a professional context. Students will develop the language and skills needed for communicating in a variety of professional situations: small-talk and socializing skills, functioning in meetings and negotiations, giving a professional presentation, use of the telephone and exchange of information and a general target is to make the students communicate more spontaneously in unrehearsed pair and group-work role-plays and simulations.

Evaluation criteria for the course
Continuous assessment based on performance, attendance and level of activity in the class exercises, performance of the professional presentation and general level and also development of oral skills during the course. There is no written test for this course.

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course
