Description:
This course is oriented to introduce students to the basics of Quality Management. After completing this course, students will be expected to define different key concepts related to this managerial field, such as Six Sigma, Quality Function Deployment, and Total Quality Management. In addition, students will discover how a quality-culture can affect the affect organizations. Furthermore, students are expected to comment on how customer satisfaction, employee empowerment, leadership, teamwork, education, and conflict are related to Quality Management and the success of institutions. Finally, students will be able to compare and implement different Tools and Techniques related to Quality Management, such as Histograms, Scatter Diagrams, and Cause-and-Effect Diagrams.
