Learning outcomes

The course provides an overview on robotics and automation systems that are used for manufacture products and the parts assembled into those products. It covers: the development of industrial robotics; the components that build a robot; the current standards for industrial robots; the application of industrial robots in different industries; the characteristics of discrete dynamic event based systems; and automation devices and systems After the course student should be able to recognize and name basic components of production systems. S/he should be able to describe the structure of robot manipulator. The student should be able to recognize and interpret basic code written in industrial programming language.

Evaluation criteria for the course

The assessment is based on the assignment works (50%) and exam (50%). Assignment works measure how the student can go in detailed explanation of some core content of the course. Exam evaluates that student attained the knowledge on given core content subjects.

Assessment scale:

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course
