Requirements
Participation in 12 conference sessions (24 hours) is compulsory. Participation in the classes (serving once as chair, giving two presentations, and participating in the discussions).
Principles and baselines related to teaching and learning
The first lecture is an introduction to how conferences operate and to the topics that can be chosen for student presentations. The remaining meetings each consist of one conference session with two presentations, 30 minutes each (20 minute presentation and 10 minutes for discussion), and a post analysis of the session (joint discussion, 30 minutes).
Learning outcomes
After this course the student has a view of state-of-the-art research in interactive technology: what kind of topics are studied and which methods are used. Students know how research results are presented both in writing and to a live audience.
