The course is organized every second year and will be lectured in the academic year 2012-2013. Lecture material consists of journal articles chosen by the teacher.

Learning outcomes

After passing the course, the student is able to read scientific articles with required criticism and extract the relevant key points of the text and discuss them. He/she will get an overview of the newest trends in biotechnology. During the course, the student learns to summarize scientific articles in form of presentations, and respectively, listen and question presentations prepared by other students.

Evaluation criteria for the course

The grade (0 = fail or 6 = pass) will be determined by the extent of self-initiative, diligence and activeness of the student during the course. Attendance in meetings is compulsory.
