Learning outcomes
After completing the course a student understands and is able to apply visual motion methods in data analysis and modeling.
Content
Content | Core content | Complementary knowledge | Specialist knowledge |
1. | We start with a brief survey of feature extraction for tracking purposes.
2. | Notions, such as optical flow and visual velocity field are introduced.
3. | This is followed by an analytical decomposition of the mapping properties of projected three dimensional rigid body motion onto a temporal image sequence.
4. | An equally brief survey of statistical calibration techniques to produce a model of motion and shape rounds up this short course. |
