Learning outcomes
After the course the student can describe the most important planning tasks and guiding principles in landscape architecture. The student also recognises the historical backgrounds of landscape architecture. The student can list different kind of landscapes and ecological systems in Finland. The student recognises the methods of landscape analyse and the co-operation between the land use planning and the landscape planning. He or she can also discuss the ecological problems of existing building system. He or she can also remember the starting points of park design and outdoor planning. The student can also select the starting points in practice and produce the planning ideas for the public space.
