Learning outcomes
After passing the course the student can list the characteristics of surface water, ground water and waste water and can explain water related phenomena using chemical, physical an microbiological properties of water. The student can name most common impurities of water, their effects and fate in the environment. The student can find the guidelines for drinking water.

Evaluation criteria for the course
The grade consists of the final exam (80%) and the laboratory assignment (20%). Grade 1 = Satisfactory knowledge of the learning outcomes Grade 2 = Very satisfactory knowledge of the learning outcomes Grade 3 = Satisfactory application of the course core content Grade 4 = Knowledge of course complementary knowledge and good application of course core content Grade 5 = Good application of core and complementary knowledge of the course
