Principles and baselines related to teaching and learning
In the course advance tasks for lectures are used. The basic principles and essential features are lectured; additional learning will be obtained in laboratory excercises.
Learning outcomes
Basic knowledge on thermodynamics and kinetic factors controlling solid state phase transformations in metals and alloys. Diffusional and diffusionless solid state phase transformations. Practical applications and procedures of heat treatments of metals and alloys.
