Person responsible
Mikko Hokkanen, Heikki Tikka, Jyrki Latokartano
Requirements
Student need to complete weekly assignments and exam.
Completion parts must belong to the same implementation
Learning outcomes
Digital manufacturing systems integrate advanced 3D modelling and simulation tools enabling collaborative product and process design. After completing this course, student understands the principles of digital manufacturing process. Student can use this knowledge when designing products and/or manufacturing processes. Student can create basic CAD-models and understands how different features can be utilized during product lifetime. Student understands the concept of 3-D simulation and off-line programming of production machines and can evaluate the usability of these methods in production
