Requirements

Active participation in the lectures and presentation discussions and a satisfactory project and/or theoretically focused research paper on a planning topic.
Completion parts must belong to the same implementation

Principles and baselines related to teaching and learning

The course is divided in theoretical (lectures, literature, discussions) part and design part (project task). The project is done in groups. Discussion and peer evaluation is encouraged.

Learning outcomes

On finishing the course the student is able to describe urban planning processes from general conceptualization to detailed construction guidance. He/she is able to recognize current trends in the design of urban space and knows how to create various functional and environmental development plans and visions. He/she knows how to use and how to produce planning accounts, as well as apply interactive design practices.

1. Theoretical and practical planning questions on yearly changing themes. Plan and its realization. Working in groups to solve planning problems. Design task an urban plan and/or research/analysis.      

Evaluation criteria for the course

Evaluation focuses on design task process. It is noted how innovatively the design is developed from chosen viewpoints.

Assessment scale:

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course

Partial passing:

Completion parts must belong to the same implementation
