Student can apply her/his knowledge about material flow management for professional and research purposes.

Content

1. System theoretical approaches and models on material flow management. Law and regulations as political instruments.      
2. Waste management systems: collection, pick up and transport, processing and final disposal.      
3. Minimization of use of natural resources. Information management for material and energy flows.     
4. Safety, environmental protection and economics.      
5. Operational actors in material flow management.     

Evaluation criteria for the course

Written examen and approved homework excercise.

Assessment scale:

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course

Partial passing:

Completion parts must belong to the same implementation

Additional information about prerequisites
A student should have earlier basic studies in environmental science and/or engineering.
