Requirements
A written exam must be passed by each student. In addition to this there will be a case assignment prepared by student teams. Each team selects an existing company, and becomes the product development team for the company. By analysing the current product range the team proposes a road-map for the company and makes a proposal for launching a large-scale product development project. The proposals are evaluated by the rest of the class in a workshop. Evaluation for the grade will be based 60% on exam, 40% on case assignment and workshop presentation.
Completion parts must belong to the same implementation

Once the course has been successfully completed, the student will be able to: Apply design management techniques in managing and controlling of product development. Analyze product development projects in terms of profitaility and cash flow by using various planning methods. Connect strategic planning to management of product development. Organize systematic screening of new innovations. Select suitable strategies for protecting new innovations
