IHTE-7306 Due to globalization most of the technology products and services are aimed to be sold worldwide. Designing for different local users can be challenging. Cross-cultural design is helping to ensure usability and user experience across cultural boundaries. It requires understanding of cultural differences and applying user-centered design methods in target market areas. This course will introduce the concept of cross-cultural design. Objectives of the Course: - To introduce the meaning of culture in using technology and the basic concepts of cross-cultural design. - To learn theories of cultural differences and how they can be utilized in design. - To learn methods of cross-cultural design on-site and remotely. |
