Learning outcomes
After the course the student can 1) list the most important factors influencing slope stability 2) Do slope stability analysis with a calculation program and evaluate the result 3) List different settlement calculation methods and evaluate their suitability 4) Calculate settlement with calculation program and evaluate the results 5) Explain the relationship between earth pressure and displacements 6) Calculate stresses and deformations on a retaining wall with a calculation program and evaluate the results.
