1) Lecture diary essays of two compulsory seminars (2 and 3, resp. video materials 5 and 6) and two elective seminars.
2) Approved literature review and research scheme.

Learning Outcomes
This course is an introduction to conducting dissertation research and pursuing doctoral studies. After completing the course, doctoral students will know how to prepare research plans and literature reviews. They will be familiar with the steps towards a research career, the process of critical appraisal and the basic concepts of research philosophy and ethics. They will possess the competence to evaluate the validity and reliability of research findings. In addition, the course will provide doctoral students with the opportunity to develop their scientific communication skills and improve their spoken and written English.
