Learning Outcomes
This course introduces students to the circuit analysis methods, developed for Integrated Circuits. Upon completion of the course, the student is able to: - Develop the admittance matrix for circuit consisting of passive and active components. - Extract the model parameters for the transistors. - Solve the roots from the admittance matrix.
Content
Content | Core content | Complementary knowledge | Specialist knowledge |
1. | Nodal analysis of integrated circuits and forming the admittance matrix. | Selecting the model structure and its parameters for transistors.
2. | Extracting the model parameters for the transistor. | Creating simulation scripts for automating the parameter extraction.
3. | Solving the roots directly from the admittance matrix and via the characteristic polynomial. | Eigen value Numerical Methods in Mathematics for Engineers.
