Course Catalog 2013-2014
KEB-23736 Industrial and Molecular Biotechnology, 8 cr |
Additional information
Suitable for postgraduate studies
Will not be lectured year 2013-2014
Person responsible
Matti Karp, Ville Santala
Learning Outcomes
After passing the course the student can discriminate between different levels of genetic information from DNA to proteins. He/she will have an understanding of processes related to gene expression and linking genome to functioning of cells. The student can associate various cellular and environmental events to levels of gene expression and metabolism. He/she can explain the methods and rationale of manipulation of microbial genomes. The student will have a solid foundation in basic biotechnology principles and technologies.
