Additional information of course implementation:
The Strategic partnership course describes different types of partnerships and how they fit in boundary spanning continuum used in the pursuit of sustained competitive advantage. The course also discusses about when to partner and what the benefits and threats of partnering are as well as what the other strategic options could be. It is expected that the students have basic understanding of the strategic management (e.g. TTA-62036 Strategic Management and/or TTA-65046 Case Course on Strategic Management) and business management (e.g. TTA-52026 Business Market Management). If a student has completed none of those courses s/he is strongly recommended to read the following articles in order to get a basic understanding of corporate strategy: Teece, David J., Gary Pisano, and Amy Shuen. "Dynamic capabilities and strategic management." Strategic management journal 18.7 (1997): 509-533. Maximum 30 students: Priority given to non-Finnish students if the limit is exceeded.
