Requirements
The course is completed by passing the final exam. The course can be passed also with the grade from 1 to 3 by completing 5 homeworks and earning at least 10 points from them( 1: 10-14 pts, 2: 15-18 pts,3:19 pts). The highest two grades require to take the final exam.
Learning Outcomes
The course gives the basic knowledge on the dynamic description, analysis, and modeling of switched-mode converters applied to the basic switched-mode converters in such a way that the student knows the basic terminology, can recognize the dynamic constraints associated to the converters, can recognize the effect of the different internal control methods on the dynamic behavior, can take into account the effcet of the non-ideal source and load, can design a simple controller applying loop-shaping method, and has a basic knowledge on the mechanisms causing EMI noise.
