Learning Outcomes
Evaluation and design of user experience takes into account all the different aspects, which have an effect on human usage of product and services. After passing the course the student can define, what the user experience of products and services means and which kind of factors contribute to positive user experience. The student is also familiar with the methods most commonly used in user experience evaluation, design, and research, and can apply those methods in practice.

The course is graded based on the exercise project.

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course
Additional information about prerequisites
A student who takes his/her Bachelor's level studies at TUT should have taken the course "IHTE-1100 Käytettävyyden perusteet". In addition, taking "IHTE-3201 Käytettävyystutkimuksen menetelmät" is recommended before this course.
A Master's level or postgraduate student who has taken a Bachelor's degree elsewhere should have understanding of basic concepts and methods of usability and human centered design before entering the course. (S)he
can define usability goals and conduct a simple task analysis and a user study. (S)he can conduct a small scale usability test in a laboratory and in the field.
