This course discusses P2P technologies available on the market including file sharing, video streaming, audio/video conferencing, instant messaging and payment systems. Few examples of considered systems are: Gnutella, BitTorrent, SopCast, BitCoin and more.

Learning Outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to: - identify the basic networking models and outline the evolution of P2P systems; - list algorithms used to search for shared resources; - describe P2P content delivery schemes and the performance issues; - explain how the most popular P2P systems work; - outline the key features of cloud computing.
