Description:

Introduction to Graduate Studies covers information on the structure of the study programme and the study modules. Students learn how to use the PSP tool and make a personal study plan. The course also covers advice on learning techniques, motivation, and time and project management. Information on IT-systems, library tour and Information retrieval are part of the course. One of the sessions is a career event, which consists of an alumni panel, where the alumni discuss e.g. the job relevance of their studies and their career after graduation.

The course is mandatory. The requirements for passing the course: - mandatory attendance in the sessions and lectures - interview a teacher at the faculty (done in groups of 2-3 students). Interview in mid September - deadline 1 Oct. - write a learning diary (essay done individually). Deadline 2 Oct. - make a personal study plan with PSP tool
