The emphasis in this course is given to "teach by example" strategy where the solution to a large set of networking problems will be discussed during the lectures and exercises.

- successful pass of examination is a must;
- attendance of lectures and exersises is mandatory;

- get familiar with network dimensioning concepts; - study network analysis and dimensioning by examples; - we cover examples for modern wired and wireless networks.

3. | Dimensioning of various technologies: - capacitated/upcapacitated network dimensioning problems; - shortest path first routing optimization; - fair networks (TCP-like greedy systems); - multi-layer network optimization; - technological examples: IGP, MPLS, ATM; - technological examples: WDM, optical cross-connects. |
