Learning Outcomes
After completing the course, a student knows raw materials used in biogas technology, microbiological basics of process, process technologies, basics of design process, material and energy balances, and methods and applications of biogas upgrading. The student is also able to design an example biogas plant as part of material flow management and energy production.

Instructions for students on how to achieve the learning outcomes
Exam and approved exrecise is demanded to pass this course. The grade will be determined on the basis of an exam. A good understanding the core content will suffice to a grade 3. In order to earn a grade 4 or 5 the student will have to have a good or excellent understanding of complementary knowledge.
