Learning outcomes

Learning outcomes
The student perceives social work as local and global activity. The student is aware of the cultural and societal background and approaches of social work and social issues in Nordic countries. The student can identify differences between social work environments and approaches.

Contents: Local and global diversity of social work, basic issues defining social work in Nordic countries.

General description

The course belongs to the intermediate studies in social work as Free Choice Studies

Independent study by writing an essay or taking an examination on set of books (essay is preferred). For detailed information, please contact the teacher, suvi.holmberg(at)uta.fi,  before or after the enrollment.

Payment

50 euros
Cancellation of enrollment: Enrollment for courses is binding. After the enrollment you will be sent the letter of acceptance, where you can see the day when the cancellation must be done at the latest. If you will cancel the enrollment later, the total course fee will be charged. (The bill will be sent home after the cancelling day by post.) You will receive the right to study for six months.
