Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student
- has basic skills to plan, manage, implement, monitor and evaluate a programme or a project based on a logical framework. Skills could be used to carry out these tasks her/himself or as a decision-maker using programmes and projects as modalities or tools.
- appreciates the crucial importance of monitoring and evaluation and making decisions on the basis of them.
- has skills in conducting evaluation of programmes and projects and is able to critically analyse evaluations made.

General description

  • How to plan a programme or a project
  • Importance of monitoring and how to do it. 
  • Evaluation approaches in public health and health promotion. Briefly on economic evaluation as a special form of evaluation
  • Conducting an evaluation to learn if “right things are done right with the right results”.
